Esta no creo que la toque en los conciertos en España, pero sería una pasada, ¿no?

Blue Spanish Sky

Seguimos repasando canciones que puede que toque en su gira española. Hoy le toca el turno a Blue Spanish Sky, una canción estupenda incluida en su tercer album "Heart shaped world" (1989), y que en España seguro que cae.

En el primer video que os pongo, de 1991, es la primera vez que veo a Chris con una guitarra española. James Wilsey todavía estaba en la banda en aquella epoca.

La trompeta la toca Doc Severinsen, toda una leyenda en estados unidos, fué el "jefe" de la banda del Tonight Show desde 1967 hasta la retirada de Carson en 1992.
Doc (ahora retirado) era famoso por los trajes chillones que solía llevar mientras actuaba (de que me suena eso...? ;P).

Speak of the Devil

Seguimos repasando las canciones que seguramente tocará Chris en alguno de los conciertos por España.

Hoy toca hablar de Speak of the Devil, canción que da título al disco que publicó en 1998.

El título en castellano sería: "Hablando del Rey de Roma (por la puerta asoma)". En inglés la frase entera sería : "Hablando del diablo, y el aparece" (Speak of the devil and he doth appear).

La canción trata sobre una chica que perdió tiempo atrás y a la que trata de olvidar y cuando cree que lo ha conseguido, ella vuelve a aparecer en su vida.

Una de las mejores canciones de su último disco Mr Lucky, y que seguro cae en los conciertos.

"Return to me" es una canción compuesta para Dean Martin, que Chris incluyó en su album de 1996, Baja Sessions.



Es una canción country, pero al modo Elvis. En los conciertos Chris suele bajar entre el público mientras la va cantando. Todo un showman!!!. La imagen del video que he puesto no es muy buena, pero merece la pena verlo.

Seguimos preparándonos para la gira. Somebody´s crying no necesita presentación, es de las más famosas de Chris Isaak. Fué el single presentación de Forever Blue, uno de los mejores discos de Chris, que salió a la venta hace 15 años (en 1995).

Al final nos hemos animado y también vamos a Valladolid, que para una vez que viene a España de gira hay que aprovechar.
